Our Work

Our clients say we’re magicians.
Here’s how the magic happens.
We’re soft tissue therapists, and specialise in an integrated approach to helping you be you again.
That means we can pull in techniques from all the different therapies we’re trained in.
Here’s just some of the ways that we’ll help you using sports massage, soft tissue therapy in Spalding, Lincolnshire.

Soft Tissue Therapy

Muscle, ligament, tendons and fascia make up the body’s soft tissue, and it’s these areas that soft tissue therapists look to manipulate in order to help clients feel better and move easier.

The manipulation includes a wide variety of different techniques. Of course, standard Swedish massage can be used, along with deeper massage techniques and specialised working such as Muscle Energy Techniques and working with trigger points.

For us, soft tissue therapy is different from sports massage, focusing on movement rather than athletic performance.

At State 11 we believe that everyone – regardless of athleticism, deserves to feel comfortable with movement.

Soft tissue therapy can help anybody feel like themselves again.

Sharon Wheeler is an American therapist who has spent decades working with scars, developing an innovative technique that can improve both the feel and movement of scar tissue after surgery or injury.

ScarWork doesn’t rely on the use of expensive oils or lotions by the client, and is a gentle technique that can really make a difference, on both old and new scars.

State 11 is one of the only studios in the Lincolnshire area to offer this treatment, which can be used on scars ranging from “planned” scars like mastectomy or caesarians through to scars from car accidents, industrial accidents or even just falls.

Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology taping, sometimes known as sports taping, involves applying body friendly tape to the skin to help decompress tissues and aid movement, effectively “turning down the volume on pain”. It’s suitable for both athletes and non-athletes, and comes in both sensitive skin and waterproof varieties, as well as regular use tape.

It’s a technique that can be done at home, and we can show you how to apply tape yourself, to support your recovery.

At State 11, we use RockTape, and both Greg and Vic are trained RockDocs.

Cupping & Gua Sha

Cupping and Gua Sha are traditional Chinese medicine techniques, and at State 11 we use westernised version of these time proven techniques.

Our cupping uses silicone sports cups (RockTape RockPods) to facilitate movement of sore and stiff muscles, and our gua sha uses (RockTape RockBlades) to help the fascia rather than causing injury to the tissues.

Rapid NFR

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset is a neurologically based, active, therapeutic technique that addresses the central nervous systems role in alleviating tension and restrictions within the body.

This exciting technique is common across Canada and some of the USA, but little known here – we’re the only studio in South Lincs offering it!

Vic and Greg are the dynamic duo of soft tissue massage therapy. After weeks of constant pain in my feet, ankles and knees, and then seeing that they were open again after lockdown, I Immediately contact them to see if they could do anything for me. Without hesitation they got me an appointment as quick as possible and with only one visit my pain had gone. The knowledge they have of every individual bone, muscle and tendon and to know how to work them is amazing. I would urge anyone who has any pain to contact them. True super heroes in their field.

Vic and Greg are the nicest people as well as being and very passionate and talented in massage therapy. So far I have just had the one session to ease pain on my neck and shoulders and it was wonderful. I have recommended you to several friends. Thank you again

I sent my wife to State 11 soft tissue therapy and she was awestruck at the difference after just one session. My wife had to have emergency surgery for a collapsed disk and subsequently had to have reconstive surgery to improve mobility and reduce the considerable pain she was in. Consequently, she has had shoulder, neck and back pain as a result of her using her muscles differently.

Just had a wonderful body massage and facial at State11, it was very relaxing and came away feeling much better .

I was able to get a very short notice appointment to address some long term neck/shoulder/back issues. I had been toying with the idea of going for a while and years of neglecting myself by not addressing pains and tension.
